Minister Condemns 'Unprovoked Violence' in North Kosovo
The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, participating in the NATO ministerial taking place in Oslo, Norway, has expressed support for the KFOR troops, condemning the unprovoked violence against them in the north of Kosovo.
"Thank you for NATO's contribution to maintaining security in our region. I reaffirmed our full support for KFOR troops and condemnation of the unprovoked violent attacks in northern Kosovo. The dialogue facilitated by the EU is the only way to move forward", underlined Xhaçka in her reaction.
According to Xhaçka, the expansion of the alliance in the north is a positive signal for the security of Europe and the Alliance.
"Convinced that Sweden's membership in NATO will strengthen the Alliance and the security of Europe as a whole", said Xhaçka.
At the meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers held in Oslo, the topic of discussion was preparations for the next summit to be held in Vilnius on ways to strengthen transatlantic defence and the Alliance's support for Ukraine.
