Kamza Mayor to Be Interrogated by SPAK
The mayor of Kamza, Rakip Suli, has been summoned to the Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK).
Rakip Suli is reported to visit SPAK premises on Wednesday (November 1) at 11:00.
On September 11, a report was filed against the socialist mayor by the residents of Kamza for violations and corruption.
The complaint was filed by the lawyer Adriana Kalaja, who listed the reasons in a statement to the media. According to her, the audit of SSA (Supreme State Audit) was submitted to SPAK, where many violations were found.
"Today, we have presented the way in which municipal councillors are notified to hold meetings online, this is contrary to the law on local self-government, but also contrary to the regulation of the municipal council itself.
The opposition councillors have been asking the mayor and the municipal council for a long time to make available a regulation on how the municipal council functions, and even today, when we came to SPAK, this regulation is not available.
Before SPAK, we presented the audit report of SSA, which found many legal violations, criminal offenses related to corruption," she said.
