Tributes to Late Poet Londo Paid in Parliament’s Premises
Tributes to the well-known Albanian writer Bardhyl Londo, who passed away at the age of 74 due to a serious disease, are being held this Saturday in the premises of the Assembly.
Friends, colleagues, acquaintances and relatives have paid tribute to the well-known poet and former Albanian MP.
Bardhyl Londo has been for a short time the MP for the Democratic Party (DP) in the Parliament and has worked long in the Ministry of Culture.
Edi Paloka: I had the good fortune to collaborate with Bardhyl London as when I was a journalist and politician he is one of those people who has left only a positive impression has reflected wise positivity dignified. He was one of those who really deserved the best, a great loss not only for family and friends but also for the DP. Recently he had contacts with the DP, he was not active as when he was an MP or elected.
Prec Zogaj: Poetry has connected me with Bardhyl, we had a friendship of poets who relied on the exchange of opinions about poetry but also for jokes about the very life that creators lead.
With the separation from life the hand of mind and heart of a poet ceased. Poets are the spiritual and mental essences of the nation, as such there are not many, counted with the fingers of the hand.
The pledge or what accompanied him in this concluding stage of his life was a family tragedy, the pain for his wife, this I have ascertained.
A distancing of the writer from a reality stuck in an endless multitude of ugliness, ugliness is a provocation for the poet, which he cannot avoid in all his articulation.
