Public revenues in Albania have increased by 31% over the last three years, while the objective of the Ministry of Finance is that by the end of the year, public revenues will be Euro 1.2 billion higher compared to 2024.

The Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, stated that the increase in revenues is a result of stable economic growth, but also of the formalization of the Albanian economy.

“To be more specific, in the first seven months of this year, revenues have increased by about 515 million euros more compared to 2025,” said Malaj.

According to the minister, the increase in public revenues creates more space for investments and the improvement of public services. “Our goal is to increase public revenues by Euro 1.2 billion by the end of the year compared to 2024. This is money that will go to build more schools, more health centers and hospitals, more business subsidies, or to provide new services, as well as to improve existing services,” Malaj declared.

The minister emphasized that the increase in revenues should translate into more investments, development and better quality services for citizens. “The economy is growing, and this is also reflected in the financial strength of the state. The objective is clear: to create more space for investments, development and better quality services for citizens,” he said.

Malaj underlined that any increase in revenues in the budget should serve to create more opportunities for families, businesses and communities across the country. “Economic growth has value when it translates into more well-being for people,” concluded the Minister of Finance.
