Businessman Questioned by Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office

Albanian businessman Eral Myftaraj appeared before the country's Special Prosecution Office Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) on Monday after being summoned by investigators.

According to preliminary information, Myftaraj was called to testify as a person with knowledge of the case, following a request from the National Bureau of Investigation (BKH).

Myftaraj is the owner of the construction company Meteo and several other businesses. His companies have been awarded public contracts on multiple occasions.

The reason for his appearance before SPAK has not been officially disclosed. However, initial reports suggest that his testimony may be linked to an ongoing investigation involving public procurement tenders.

Authorities have not released further details, and the investigation remains ongoing.
