The citizen Rr.U. was arrested at the request of Kukës Prosecution’s Office on suspicion of the criminal offense of “Cultivation of narcotic plants” and “Manufacture and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition” as stipulated in Articles 284/1 and 278/3 of Albania's Criminal Code.
Authorities arrested Rr.U. after routine inspections uncovered three plots of suspected Cannabis sativa in the village of Vlahen, Has Municipality, containing a total of 1,874 plants.
A search of the suspect's residence led to the seizure of 73 rounds of 7.62 mm Model 56 ammunition, three empty assault rifle magazines, and two igniter cords.
Investigations are ongoing to identify other individuals involved in this illegal operation.
