Protest Outside Tirana Police Station Escalates as Police Use Water to Disperse Crowd

A protest in Tirana escalated early this Sunday after demonstrators marched through the capital and gathered outside Police Station No. 3, where several people detained following the previous day's protest outside Parliament are being held.

Tensions rose outside the police station after one protester allegedly used a stick to smash the building’s windows, shattering the glass. Police subsequently intervened to disperse the crowd, using water against the demonstrators.

Authorities have not yet confirmed whether anyone was detained or injured during the intervention.

The incident marks the latest escalation following ongoing demonstrations in the Albanian capital, where protesters have demanded the release of those arrested after clashes with police during earlier protests.
