Albania Extends Visa-Free Entry and Stay for Ukrainian Citizens Until 2027

Albania has approved a new government decision allowing Ukrainian citizens to enter and stay in the country without a visa until March 30, 2027, in a move aimed at easing mobility and extending humanitarian support.

The decision was adopted by the Council of Ministers of Albania, the country’s cabinet, as part of ongoing measures to regulate the status of Ukrainian nationals residing in the country and to facilitate their legal stay.

Under the new regulation, citizens of Ukraine are permitted to enter Albania visa-free and remain without a residence permit until the specified deadline in 2027.

Authorities also confirmed that all Ukrainian nationals currently living in Albania will benefit from the same provisions, ensuring uninterrupted legal stay under the extended framework.

Officials said the measure is part of Albania’s broader humanitarian approach toward Ukrainian citizens affected by the ongoing war, aligning with its policies on temporary protection and residency facilitation.

The decision was approved by the Council of Ministers of Albania and is expected to simplify administrative procedures while maintaining a stable legal status for Ukrainian residents in the country.
